The term Twitterature belongs to Alexander Aciman and Emmett Rensin. In 2009 they were just 19 years old, and they had a brilliant idea. They ‘translated’ classic literature novels into Tweets. And that’s how Twitterature was born. I discovered their book (it was published by Penguin Books) in 2010, while researching for my documentary #followme. Exploring Twitter.

Today i’m very excited because i’ve just started experimenting with a Twitterature project which i call @ypochondria and i invite you all to follow this. If you like it, share it, and interact with it!

Ο όρος Twitterature (Τουιτεροτεχνία) ανήκει στους Alexander Aciman και Emmett Rensin. Το 2009 ήταν δύο 19χρονοι μαθητές που είχαν μια έξυπνη ιδέα. ‘Μετέφρασαν’ κλασσικά λογοτεχνικά έργα σε tweets. Κι έτσι γεννήθηκε η Τουιτεροτεχνία. Ανακάλυψα το βιβλίο τους (εκδόθηκε απ’ τον εκδοτικό οίκο Penguin) το 2010, όταν ερευνούσα το ντοκιμαντέρ μου #Ακολούθησέ με. Εξερευνώντας το Twitter.

Σήμερα είμαι πολύ ενθουσιασμένος γιατί ξεκίνησα να πειραματίζομαι με μια μορφή Τουιτεροτεχνίας, ή αλλιώς μικρομπλογκοτεχνίας, ή όπως αλλιώς πείτε την, σ’ ένα σχέδιο που ονομάζω @ypochondria.
